SHIFT & UPLIFT

A vintage mattress frame is the base of this creation. Metal mesh cones in various sizes are attached to the frame. Inside the cones and weaving in and out of the cones are a variety of floral details.

At the center of bed frame are several large cones in the shape of an hourglass, decorated with overflowing floral materials from this structure. The cones represent humans of all kinds and the beauty that exists within them.

Over the last year, we have been separated, contained, and restrained in many ways. The feeling of disconnection has grown within us, and the desire to reconnect and share is stronger than ever. 

We need one another to shift and uplift into the next part of the journey. The large center cones that form an hourglass symbolize our reunion. The floral details in the center represent our vibrance and dynamic nature to thrive.
